You do not need AI, or art skills, to get good looking free game assets as a beginner. These libraries give away ready made models, sprites, textures and sounds you can drop into a first game today.
We checked each license on the official site. Kenney, Quaternius, Poly Haven and ambientCG release their assets as CC0, so you can use them commercially with no credit required. OpenGameArt, Poly Pizza and itch.io packs have a license per asset or per pack, so read it and keep a credits file. threejsassets.com uses its own free commercial license that bans redistributing the files.

Free low poly 3D model packs, many rigged and animated. Quaternius says its assets are CC0, usable in commercial projects without credit and modifiable in any way.
ambientCG
Free PBR materials, HDRIs and some models. All assets are CC0 1.0: copy, modify and use commercially without asking, and include raw files in your game.
itch.io free game assets
Marketplace section listing tens of thousands of free game asset packs from independent creators. Each creator sets their own license, so read the pack page before shipping.
Poly Haven
Free HDRIs, PBR textures and 3D models. All assets are CC0: any use including commercial, no credit required, and redistribution allowed.
Poly Pizza
Library of over 10,000 free low poly 3D models. Each model shows its own license, either CC0 or CC-BY (credit required), with OBJ and glTF downloads.
threejsassets.com
Over 900 free web optimized GLB models for three.js and React Three Fiber, free account required. Free Commercial License: commercial use, no attribution, but no reselling or redistributing the files.
OpenGameArt
Community archive of free 2D art, 3D models, music and sound. Licenses vary per asset (CC0, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, OGA-BY, GPL), so read each submission's license and credit notes.
